The history of the Ciresa brand began in 1927 when Giovanni Ciresa started the business by building the first warehouse, which, in 1958, was replaced by the settlement in Bindo di Cortenova. The process of developing the distribution network began in Sondrio in the 1980s and continued in the 1990s with the opening of the Lecco depot (1996) and in 2007 with the opening of the new facility in Bergamo.
Based on the experience gained in the warehouses in Novara, the new facility in Cameri was completed in 2003, allowing the company to multiply its Gorgonzola production capacity and strengthen its market presence worldwide. For as many as three generations, Ciresa has been devoting the utmost care to cheese production with special attention to the authenticity of the products and the selection of methods that respect the environment and nature. The success and increasingly significant international affirmation of Ciresa products are also due to the efficiency of the distribution network; this feature guarantees Ciresa rapidity and flexibility of supply, which, associated with high levels of product quality, contribute to satisfying even the most discerning clientele by winning their trust.
Despite the passage of time, Ciresa’s philosophy has remained the same in the spirit, rigor and tenacity with which the founder began his adventure; with this spirit it has managed to expand its boundaries on the international market by seizing new and extraordinary opportunities for growth that have enabled it to establish itself abroad as a symbol of Italian quality.
