Auricchio is the market leader in provolone cheese. Founded in 1877 and well-established in this specific market, it has since followed up over the years with a series of acquisitions of brands and production facilities until it has come to offer one of the most comprehensive ranges of cheeses.
The Auricchio group today includes the brands Auricchio, Riserva Esclusiva Auricchio, Colombo, Ceccardi, Gloria, Locatelli (this one exclusively for the United States), Caseificio Villa- Il Sole della Franciacorta. It has seven production units-Gazzo di Pieve San Giacomo (CR) and Somma Vesuviana (NA)-for provolone cheese production and packaging and shipping centers for all types of cheeses. Cava Manara (PV) for the production of Gorgonzola, Erbusco (BS) for mozzarella, Taleggio and Quartirolo Lombardo cheeses, Macomer (NU) for the production of Pecorino Romano and fresh and aged pecorino as well as ricotta. Scandiano (RE) for the production of fresh ricotta and caciotta cheese. Solignano (PR) for Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
In all dairies, products are still made by traditional methods according to old recipes handed down for generations. Craftsmanship is joined by the most modern technologies to guarantee absolute food safety and in compliance with the standards imposed by the quality certifications that all factories have.
