The Leonardi family has been producing sweet and spicy Gorgonzola DOP for three generations.
From the first dairy in Mezzomerico, a small town in the Novara hills, and from the experience of Natale Leonardi and his son Gian Vittorio, came the history, tradition and values of IGOR, a company that has grown steadily over the years to become a leading dairy industry. IGOR produces, seasons and packages quality Gorgonzola using innovative technologies, always with full respect for tradition and making a careful selection of the farms where the highest quality milk is collected. Since 1996, the company has been operating in Cameri (in the province of Novara) in a state-of-the-art 15,000-square-meter plant where compliance with sanitation measures at every stage of the production process is punctual and strict. Over the past few years, three expansions have been carried out, with a total area of 35000 square meters, and an additional expansion of 12000 square meters is underway. IGOR exports more than 50 percent of its production worldwide, to large-scale retail channels, ho.re.ca. and in industry.
IGOR, in addition to its headquarters in Cameri, includes other entities such as CLIN (production dairy), PAL (Gran Riserva Leonardi production dairy) and Ballarini (sweet and spicy Gorgonzola PDO maturing site).
