2020, the 50th anniversary of the constitution of Consorzio Gorgonzola, which occurred in Novara in 1970, promises to be full of events and manifestations. The participation in international trade shows is already confirmed. The first one in Dubai with GULFOOD; the following month the Consortium booth will move to Japan, in Tokyo, to participate in FOODEX; in spring the appointment will be in Parma for the biennial CIBUS; and finally, in autumn everyone is invited to Paris for SIAL.
The collaborations with other Consortia of protection continue, among which a project in Spain and Denmark where Consorzio Gorgonzola will cooperate with the Consortia of Taleggio, Asiago and Pecorino Sardo.
The international promotion of Gorgonzola PDO is part of a positive scenario for export that in the period Jan-Aug this year recorded a 3.5% increase of the world total. Since 2010, Gorgonzola cheese exports have always been positive figures.
