Small puff pastries with caramelised apples and Gorgonzola
Ingredients
1 roll of fresh puff pastry
1 Golden apple
100 gr. of sweet gorgonzola
5 tablespoons Calvados
2 teaspoons caster sugar
some drops of lemon
salad as required
Preparation
Unroll the puff pastry and use a ring to make four circles with diameter of about 10 cm. Place the puff pastry rings on a baking-pan lined with greaseproof paper and make holes with the fork prongs.
Peel the apples, remove the core and finely slice them, place them on the puff pastries, sprinkle with sugar, pour some lemon drops on the apples and bake them at 185° for about 15 minutes.
Take out of the oven, season each single puff pastry with a slice of gorgonzola, put again in the oven for at least 5 minutes, then take out of the oven and serve the puff pastries on a bed of salads and a spray of Calvados.
