GREEN LIGHT FOR “CHEESE – IT’S EUROPE“ CAMPAIGN

The Consortia for the protection of Parmigiano Reggiano, Asiago, and Gorgonzola cheese are about to launch a three-year (2016 – 2019) communication campaign named Cheese – It’s Europe designed to foster knowledge about some of the Italian cheese boasting a protected designation of origin and raise awareness about the  topic across European countries such as Austria, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic. Co-funded by the European Commission and the Italian government, it aims at insisting on the importance of protecting products marked with a protected designation of origin (PDO) and, generally speaking, enhancing such system to safeguard certified products. The campaign focuses on three Italian “testimonials” of excellence: Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, Asiago DOP and Gorgonzola DOP. An “Excellence Tour” will be organised to introduce them in the four countries involved:

  • POLAND – WARSAW 14 SEPTEMBER
  • HUNGARY – BUDAPEST 21 SEPTEMBER
  • CZECH REPUBLIC – PRAGUE 27 SEPTEMBER
  • AUSTRIA – VIENNA 5 OCTOBER
