Gorgonzola dop among the stars of “DOP&GO 2025”, the certified tour of flavor amidst sports and local excellence

Following the success of the first edition held in 2022, the DOP&GO project returns in 2025 with an even richer and more engaging formula: 5 regions, 5 DOP cheeses, and 5 local experiences, designed to introduce young athletes to the value and quality of certified cheeses.

The food truck for this second edition will be driven by Federico Polizzi, content creator and food talent with over 400,000 followers. Region after region and recipe after recipe, Polizzi will take the public on a journey to discover Gorgonzola DOP and four other certified cheeses, Asiago DOP, Taleggio DOP, Pecorino Sardo DOP, and Quartirolo Lombardo DOP, explaining how to incorporate them into a balanced diet for those who practice sports. A perfect combination of taste and sport that will convey, simply and engagingly, the value of the Protected Designation of Origin, demonstrating that eating well, even with cheese, is a possible, conscious, and cool choice.

In Piedmont, Polizzi, accompanied by Stefano Bona, a former MasterChef contestant, will involve the amateur youth football associations of Alessandria in a journey to discover Gorgonzola DOP and the secrets of Piedmontese cuisine, combining passion and irony.

The entire campaign is supported by an integrated social media strategy aimed at amplifying the message on a national scale and reaching a broad audience of young sports enthusiasts through video recipes and reels that will animate the social media profiles of the consortium and creators involved.

The 5-stop DOP&GO aims to spread the values of DOP certification with accessible and engaging content, educate consumers about conscious, balanced, and sustainable consumption, promote the excellence of Italian agri-food products and Made in Italy, involve young athletes from local clubs in experiential activities, enhance the Italian territory as a cultural and gastronomic heritage, and create valuable content for foodservice professionals and digital channels.

The Consortia of Asiago DOP, Gorgonzola DOP, Pecorino Sardo DOP, Taleggio DOP, and Quartirolo Lombardo DOP cheeses would like to thank MASAF – Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forests, which financed the project, and the Milk Adv agency for the creation and development of the format.
