Every year, on October 25, it is World Pasta Day, a day dedicated to the dish globally recognised as the symbol of Italian cuisine.
An Italian product that goes well with pasta is Gorgonzola PDO: this excellence is also present and appreciated in 85 countries around the world and can be added to many recipes to enhance the taste.
In 2019, in fact, 1 million 866 thousand wheels (22,394 tons) crossed the national borders, mostly in European Union countries such as Germany, France, Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, but also in non-EU countries such as Japan, the United States and Korea.
The World Pasta Day also celebrates the Mediterranean Diet, recognized by UNESCO as a protected asset and included in the list of oral and intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2010; at the centre of this diet, typical of Mediterranean countries such as Italy, there is pasta in its thousand varieties and condiments.
