Journalists And Food Bloggers From Eastern Europe Travel To Italy To Learn About Gorgonzola Dop. October Is Also Trade Show Time: Let’s Go To Anuga.

A new appointment for our three-year marketing communication campaign, planned to continue until 2019, “Cheese – It’s Europe”. Organised by the Parmigiano Reggiano, Asiago and Gorgonzola Consortia, the project is co-financed by the European Commission and the Italian government and seeks to promote Italian PDO cheeses in Austria, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Relying on the above three cheeses as its champions, the project has been conceived to increase the popularity of PDO cheeses, highlighting the EU protected designation of origin and quality control system on which the PDO supply chain is based. At the end of October, the Gorgonzola Consortium will play host to a group of Polish and Czech journalists, food bloggers and experts, taking them on a journey of discovery about the characteristics and peculiarities of the Gorgonzola DOP cheese. The tour will include a visit to the city of Milan, with its Cathedral and its canals (Navigli), and the many wonders of the local territory, and will end in the city of Novara, where the Consortium is based and where all will be learnt about Gorgonzola cheese.
