Cold Pasta Pie Baked with Gorgonzola PDO

Ingredients

  • 100 g Gorgonzola PDO + 50 g for the garnish
  • 600 g cold pasta with pesto (olives and cherry tomatoes)
  • breadcrumbs
  • basil
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 500 ml full-fat milk
  • 50 g 00 flour
  • 25 g butter

Preparation

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan, remove from the heat, add the flour and stir well with a whisk.
  2. Place again over heat and cook.
  3. Add the hot milk and continue stirring.
  4. Once a creamy consistency is obtained, add a pinch of salt and the Gorgonzola PDO.
  5. Stir until completely melted.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Pour a layer of Gorgonzola PDO béchamel in a baking tray, make a first layer with the pasta and add the chopped walnuts.
  8. Continue until all the ingredients have been used up.
  9. Sprinkle the pasta with breadcrumbs and diced Gorgonzola PDO.
  10. Preheat the oven to 180° and then cook for 20 minutes.
  11. Serve lukewarm, garnished with fresh basil.
