The Castelli Group is a company founded in 1892, based in Reggio Emilia, and a leader in the production and distribution of DOP, STG and Typical Italian cheeses. Tradition and history are the guidelines of the Castelli Group, which has been active in the dairy sector since 1892, in Italy and abroad, where it is a leader in Parmigiano Reggiano exports. Over the years, the Reggio Emilia-based Group has gradually expanded to 17 plants located in Italy, Hungary, Poland and the United States, including production, curing and packaging centers.
These are joined by several distribution platforms and 11 subsidiaries between Europe and the US. With a turnover of about 500 million euros, and with more than 1,000 employees, the Castelli Group ranks among the most important companies in the production and distribution of PDO and typical Italian cheeses thanks to the Castelli, Alival, DiVittorio, Mandara, Fattorie del Sole and Agrisole brands.
The range consists of authentic specialties such as: Parmigiano Reggiano DOP (105 thousand wheels produced annually), Grana Padano DOP, Gorgonzola DOP, Taleggio DOP, Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP, Pecorino Toscano DOP and Mozzarella Stg. About 70 percent of the Group’s production is exported to major international markets: the USA, France, Britain, Germany, Scandinavia, Poland and Russia.
Reliability and quality are the main drivers of the Castelli Group on all product categories and for all brands, standing by its customers to meet their needs by strategically developing the dairy sector.
In addition, the quality of the cheeses is assured by more than 3,500 daily inspections, carried out in all of the company’s factories, and by BRC and IFS food quality certifications.
